The Cape is renowned for its beautiful coastline and abundance of marine life so boat trips to the islands and along the coast is extremely popular. Once a year though, when the whales migrate and come close in to our coast, people flock to come and whale watch and locals and visitors alike come to experience what it feel like to be close up to these incredible creatures.

Every year between June and November the whales come to our protected coasts to calve in the shelter. We hold the sole permit for boat-based whale watching in the western half of the False Bay area from between Cape Point and Strandfontein. Whale watching in this area is simply great as the area is sheltered from the open sea, allowing passengers to have an excellent whale watching experience.

It is usual on a whale watching trip to see South Right Whales, Brydes Whales, Humpback Whales and also dolphins and Killer Whales.
