The “Hotseat” experience consist of a
reconnaissance lap driven at medium speed to familiarise you with the
experience, show you part of the route and condition you for the experience of
a lifetime.
Then, when you believe it cannot be so bad, all hell breaks loose when our Pro
opens up the powerful rally car and takes you for the ride of your life!!
You may be lucky enough to experience the well-known car control skills of
ex-South African multi Rally champion Leon Botha** which will ensure that you
bring all your friends for more! (**note that drivers are rotated as they
have various motorsport commitments)
Summary of Experience:
A warm-up settle in lap, then two high
speed laps. (Approximately 4,5km of driving)

What do we need to bring for Rally Driving?
- T-shirts, Denims, Trainers
- Windbreakers Sunglasses.
- Sunscreen
- SPF 30+
- Cameras
Rally vehicles used for sessions:
- All of our vehicles are more or less on
the same performance level and can reach the same speeds. All cars are rally
specification class N4 or class A7. Vehicle makes include Nissan, Subaru
and Volkswagen.
- Vehicles are rotated and any of
our vehicles may be used on any given day, depending on the size of group and
availability.
- One rally vehicle can be used for groups
up to 10 people. We always try to have at least two vehicles ready.
- All rally cars are fitted with roll
cages and rally safety belts.
Duration:
Rally Hotseat Spins take about 10 minutes
from strap-in to strap-out. The actual drive is about 3 minutes over a +/-
4,5km stage.
Age, Weight and Height:
Minimum age is 12. Participants under the
age of 18 need an indemnity signed by a parent or guardian in our presence.
Maximum weight of a participant is 120kg. Persons with a length of up to 1.9m
can fit into the rally cars quite comfortably. Belts and harness fits up to a
48cm waist size.
Weather and Availability:
Remember this is a weather related activity
and excessive rain may cause postponement or cancellation of sessions.
Decisions to postpone may be taken even after a session started and persons who
still have activities outstanding will have to make new appointments.
Vehicles can break at any time and although
we take special care to have cars running at all times, the non-availability of
and/or un-obtainable spares are major factors. We do carry some spares but
cannot guarantee speedy repairs.
Please remember instructors can become ill,
cars can break and the track can wash away or get severely wet, which make safe
drives impossible.
If sessions are stopped due to mechanical
failures the remainder of such runs will be rescheduled to future dates.
Clients agree that although we will do our best to accommodate them on suitable
dates, this will not always be possible.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and it is
recommended to bring with a camera to capture the excitement. Please note that
all activities take place outside and it is advised not to bring with small
children and older or ill people, as conditions can be very dusty, warm or cold
depending on weather season. Please make sure you have sunblock and a cap or
hat for protection against sunburn.
