Itinerary:
The 11 day Northern
Adventure overland and Camping holiday begins in Johannesburg, South Africa, and
ends in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe.
Please Note:
This overland
holiday departs early on a Wednesday morning from Johannesburg. If you would
like to do some sightseeing in Johannesburg before departure, we suggest that
you arrive in the city a few days earlier.
Pre Departure Meeting: This meeting is held at 17h00 at
the Departure Point the day before your departure, i.e. Tuesday afternoon.

DAY 1: Johannesburg to Hazyview

- We
depart from Johannesburg, making our way towards the Lowveld and the Kruger
National Park.
- En-route
we travel through the southern part of the Panorama Route
- We
make camp for the next two nights only 8 km from the Kruger National Park’s
Numbi Gate.
DAY 2: Hazyview

Today is
spent exploring the Kruger National Park.

DAY 3: Hazyview to Graskop

replenishing of our provisions we depart from the Lowveld, making our way to
the small town of Graskop.
- Sights
and highlights include: Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window
- We
make camp before enjoying a swim in the swimming pool.
- Graskop’s
night life offers evening entertainment
DAY 4: Graskop to Musina

- Depart
from Graskop
- The
rive is long and relaxing
- We
make camp in Musina
DAY 5: Musina to Masvingo (Zimbabwe)
Meals

- Enter
Zimbabwe, making our way to Masvingo, situated on the outskirts of the Great
Zimbabwe Ruins
- We
explore the ruins before making camp
DAY 6: Masvingo to Gweru
Meals
included: breakfast, lunch and dinner
We depart
from Masvingo, making our way north to Gweru, situated in Zimbabwe’s Midlands
Stop over
at the Antelope Park
Park attractions:

of game viewing opportunities

Unique
optional ride or swim with elephants, walk with lions, view game on horse back
available.
DAY 7: Gweru

Spend the
day enjoying the country’s wildlife.
DAYS 8: Gweru to Bulawayo

from Gweru, making our way to Bulawayo

DAY 9: Bulawayo

Visit the Matobo
National Park where black rhino, leopard, black eagle and rock paintings can be
viewed.
DAY 10: Bulawayo to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

- Departing
from Bulawayo we make our way to Victoria Falls.
- Victoria
Falls, also know as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders), is 1 of the world’s
7 natural wonders and measures 1700 m wide and 100 m high.
- Make
camp and spend the afternoon relaxing at the swimming pool or exploring the
town
