Exploring South Africa by rail has a nostalgic old-world feel about it as you chug along in modern luxury and comfort. Luxury rail experiences are unsurpassed and there is no better way to see and experience the nest that our beautiful country has to offer.

For this luxury rail experience there are two train sets available, one accommodating a total of 74 guests in 37 suites and one accommodating a total of 58 guests in 29 suites with an observation or conference carriage at the back. Each train is superbly furnished to ensure your comfort throughout the journey. Temperature control ensures that come rain or shine, the temperature within the train is stable and pleasant. Suites are individually temperature controlled and offer under floor heating.

These trains are luxuriously appointed and offer you the most amazing rail experience in South Africa. Book today to enjoy the journey of a lifetime!

Suite Facilities:

Ensuite bathroom with either shower or bath
Two luxury coaches per train each have 3 suites, each suite fitted with a bath tub
Remaining deluxe suites each have 4 suites, one fitted with a bathtub and 3 fitted with showers
Beds that fold away neatly into the suite wall, maximizing your personal space
10 suites on the 74 passenger train have double beds
9 suites on the 58 passenger train have double beds
Luxury suites enjoy have audio CD, hi-fi and VHS video systems
Each suite has a safe for valuables

Dining car seats 42 guests per sitting (2 sittings each for lunch and dinner)

Lounges:

Each train has 2 lounge carriages
Main lounge carriages are where high tea is served every afternoon
Club lounges are the only smoking areas on the train

Board the train and depart from Pretoria Station before 9am

High tea in the main lounge carriage
Arrive at Kimberly Station in the late afternoon
Enjoy an Open Mine Museum Tour
Board the train and depart Kimberly Station around 7pm
Dinner is served in 2 sittings

Day 2:

Breakfast (served on a first come first served basis or in-suite on request)
Arrival at Cape Town Station around 12 noon

Cape Town to Pretoria:
