Khamkirri is a river-facing accommodation facility and camp located directly on the banks of the Orange River, around 12 km upstream from the mighty Augrabies Waterfalls. Khamkirri adjoins and has the use of a 7500 ha game farm. Our comfortable facilities provide an ideal stop over to visit other attractions of the area, such as Augrabies Waterfalls National Park and Riemvasmaak Hot Spring, as well as other destinations such as Richtersveld, Namaqualand, West Coast and Namibia.

Khamkirri offers a range of accommodation options and activities for the outdoor adventurer. We offer chalets as well as camping facilities with fully-equipped ablution facilities, which include toilets, showers and basins, hot water and electricity. With its abundance of wildlife, such as our 11 different species of game, among others, the Blou wildebeest, Rooi hartebeest, kudu, gemsbok, springbok and giraffe, as well as the Camel Thorn trees and Quiver trees, this breakaway is sure to provide a memorable experience.

We have two resident fish eagles that nest near the camp and patrol this section of the river. We see them as they swoop past the deck and their call, which is the true call of the Rooms and units
