What’s the deal?

Spend 7 days exploring the natural wonders of Zimbabwe on foot, in a safari vehicle and side by side with elephants. Comfortable camping accommodation keeps you cosy by night and your meals are taken care of so that all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your holiday. This 7 day safari holiday is suitable for mid-range budgets and people who really want to get out of the city for a while and to enjoy the African bush.

This Kaza Safaris 7 day safari holiday takes place in the Hwange National Park which is situated just south of the mighty Victoria falls and Vic Falls town.

ITENERARY FOR 7 DAY TRIP

Day 1

12:30pm: Arrive Victoria Falls Airport (clear customs and immigration)

13:30pm: Transfer to Hotel

15:30pm: Tour of the Mighty Victoria Falls

19:00pm: Back to hotel

19:30pm: Supper

Day 2

05:30am: Wake up call.

06:30am:Breakfast cruise on the Zambezi river on the ria khane.

10:00am: Transfer to Hwange National Park.

13:30pm: Arrive in camp and light lunch.

15:00pm: Relax at a waterhole and watch the game come to you.

18:00pm: Back in camp.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 3

05:00am: Wake up call.

05:45am: Breakfast.

06:45am: 3 hours easy walk.

10:00am: snacks.

12:00pm: Lunch.

15:00pm: 2 hours easy walk.

18:00pm: Back in camp.

19:30pm: Supper

Day 4

05:00am: Wake up.

05:45am: Breakfast.

07:00am: Drive through Hwange National Park to Sikumi Tree Lodge.

11:30am: Arrive at Sikumi Tree lodge.

12:30pm: Lunch

15:00pm: Drive and find elephants then walk with them. (There is a minimum             age limit of 14 to do this)            

18:30pm: Drive back to Sikumi spotlighting along the way.

20:00pm: Supper

Day 5

06:00am: Wake up

06:30am: Coffee and tea

07:00am: Game drive.

10:00am: Bush Brunch.

13:00pm: Option of light lunch. (You will be full from the bush brunch)

15:00pm: Drive and find elephants then walk with them. (There is a minimum age limit of 14 to do this.}

18:30pm: Drive back to Sikumi spotlighting along the way.

20:00pm: Supper

Day 6

06:00am: Wake up

06:30am: Breakfast

08:00am: Transfer back to the falls via Wild Dog Rehabilitation Center And Dibangombe Ranch.

12:30pm: Lunch at Dibangombe Ranch

13:30pm: Introduction on what is done at Dibangombe ranch.

14:00pm: 2 hour ranch tour

16:00pm: Continue to Victoria Falls and Hotel.

16:45pm: Arrive at hotel.

19:00pm Dinner at the Boma restaurant. (Not to be missed)

Day 7

07:00am: Wake up.

07:30am: Breakfast.

08:00am: Choice of activities.

• Half day adrenalin.
• Elephant Back Safari.
• Full day White Water Rafting(seasonal)

12:00pm: Lunch

15:00pm: Choice of activities.

• 15 min helicopter flight
• sundowner cruise
• PM wine route

18:30pm: Back to hotel.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 8

This is your time. Wake up when you want. Have a leasurely breakfast and check out of the hotel.

12:00pm: Transfer to Victoria Falls airport for departure.

• Meals in Victoria Falls are not included in the package.

ITENERARY FOR 14-DAY SAFARI

 

Day 1

12:30pm: Arrive Victoria Falls airport.

13:30pm: Transfer to hotel.

15:30pm: Welcome sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi.

19:00pm: Back to hotel.

19:30pm: Supper

Day 2

05:45am: Wake up.

06:50am: Pick up for rafting. From the pick up you will be taken to the top of the gorge for tea and coffee. Whilst you are having your tea and coffee you will be given a safety talk and told what to expect on your days rafting trip. Lunch will be supplied on the trip.

15:00pm: Arrive back in the falls.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to do what you like although I am sure you will be resting after the days rafting.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 3

05:00am: Wake up.

06:00am: Pick up for Elephant back safari.(Breakfast will be supplied after the safari).

10:30am: Arrive back at hotel.

12:00pm: Lunch at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. (Please note lunch is not covered in package.

13:00pm: Watch the vulture feed at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. (A sight not to be missed).

14:00pm: Tour of the Victoria Falls.

From the end of the tour the afternoon is yours to do what you please.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 4

06:30am: Wake up.

07:30am: Breakfast.

09:00am: Check out of hotel.

09:30am: Transfer to Sikumi Tree Lodge near Hwange National Park.

12:00pm: Arrive at Sikumi Tree Lodge. (Check in and relax before lunch).

13:00pm: Lunch.

15:00pm: Drive and find Elephants then walk with them. (You don’t have to walk with them. But it is an experience not to be missed).

18:30pm: Drive back to Sikumi whilst spotlighting.

19:30pm: Supper. (After supper relax by the fire and listen to the campfire stories from your guides).

Day 5

06:00am: Wake up. (You don’t have to wake up this early if you don’t want to).

06:45am: Breakfast.

07:30am: Game drive.

10:00am: Back to Sikumi. (Relax and watch the game come to the waterhole right in front of the lodge or take a swim).

13:00pm: Lunch.

15:00pm: Drive and find elephants and walk with them or just have a game drive.

18:30pm: Drive back to Sikumi whilst spotlighting.

19:30pm: Supper. (After supper relax by the fire and listen to the campfire stories from your guides).

20:00pm: If available we will have a lion researcher give a talk on what is happening with the lions in Hwange National Park and surrounding area’s.

Day 6

05:15am: Wake up.

06:00am: Breakfast.

07:00am: Check out and leave for Hwange National Park for the first night of real camping via the One and only Wild dog Rehabilitation Center in the World. (Not to be missed)

13:00pm: Arrive at campsite and set up camp.

14:00pm: Packed lunch.

15:30pm: Game drive or just sit and relax at a waterhole and watch the wildlife come to you. (Some amazing photographic opportunities here.)

18:00pm: Back in camp.

19:30pm: Supper. (After supper relax by the fire and listen to the sounds of the wild and listen to the campfire stories told by the guide and yourselves)

Day 7

05:00am: Wake up.

05:45am: Coffee and tea. (If you need more than just coffee and tea when you wake up please ask.)

06:30am: Leave for an easy walk in the surrounding area.

12:00pm: Back in camp to rest through the heat of the day.

Day 10

05:00am: Wake Up.

05:45am: Breakfast.

06:30am: Pack up camp.

07:30am: Leave for Dibangombe ranch.

10:00am: Arrive at Dibangombe ranch where you will be given an orientation talk on what they do. (Not To Be Missed)

10:45am: Ranch tour. (Not To Be Missed) The Dibangombe orientation and tour is most definitely life a life changing.

14:30pm: Leave for Victoria Falls.

15:45Pm: Arrive at hotel and check in. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to do what you’d like to do.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 11

05:30am: Wake up.

06:15am: Breakfast. (Will need to be pre-arranged)

07:00am: Pick up for Full Day Chobe Trip. (Visa’s, drinks not included. Lunch is supplied. You’ll also need to bring some extra cash for spending money.)

17:30pm: Arrive back in the falls.

19:30pm. Supper.

Day 12

07:00am: Wake up.

07:45am: Breakfast.

09:00am: Choice of two activities-

• Half day Adrenalin
• 15min Helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls.

13:00pm: Lunch. Your choice of where to eat.

14:00pm: The afternoon is yours for shopping in the local markets or to just to relax and enjoy some quiet time before the big evening ahead of you.

18:45pm: Pick up from your hotel.

19:00pm: Supper at the Boma. Not to be missed. An evening of eating and traditional entertainment. Fun all around. At the end of the evening you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

Day 13

07:00am: Wake up.

07:45am: Breakfast.

09:00am: Pick up for tour of the crocodile farm.

11:30am: For the adventurous you can now go crocodile diving in a cage at Elephants Walk.

12:30pm: Lunch.

15:30pm: Afternoon cruise on the Exclusive Ra-Ikane

19:00pm: Back at Hotel.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 14

07:00am: Wake up.

07:45am: Breakfast.

09:15am: Transfer to Zambian border for Micro light flight.

After micro light flight view the Victoria Falls from the Zambian side.

Lunch will be in Zambia.

15:30pm: Pick up from your hotel for afternoon game drive in Zambezi National Park.

19:00pm: Arrive back at hotel.

19:30pm: Supper.

Day 15

This is your time. Wake up when you want. You will need to check out of hotel by 10:00am. The Transfer to the airport will be at 12:00pm.
