Well, you had better believe it because it is completely true! And there is no better way to go see this spectacular and unusual sight than from the water, in a kayak of course.

You would expect to find penguins in a marine park, an aquarium and other places that are specifically built to house and preserve marine life. You may go see them perform little tricks for fish at these places. However, would you ever expect to find a penguin colony in suburban Cape Town? Well, you had better believe it because it is completely true! And there is no better way to go see this spectacular and unusual sight than from the water, in a kayak of course.

The suburbs of Cape Town has to be one of the most unique places that penguins have ever called home and it is a sight not to be missed if you are in the Cape Town area. The kayaking adventure to see these city slickers kicks off in Simons Town and from there you paddle towards Boulders Beach. After a visit to the plucky penguins a stop is made at a semi-private beach for swimming, snorkeling and refreshments. During July to October there is a good chance of whale sightings on the trip too.
