More about the adventure
The first day of your Breede River Kayaking Adventure kicks off with brunch on the river banks where after its time to make a splash and get into the water, but not before a quick safety briefing. The kayaks being used are inflatable �crocs�, they are very stable and rather easy to paddle. You can enjoy a picnic spread on the banks for lunch and some late afternoon wine tasting.� On your Breede River Kayaking Adventure it�s all about enjoying yourself, savoring the fine experience of Africa and adding to your memories.
Getting up to the river is no problem at all, full directions will be given upon booking confirmation. Accommodation is provided in the form of comfortable water�s edge chalets, each of which sleeps 4-6 people. Each chalet has one en-suit bathroom and al the linen is supplied. There is also a central boma, or dining area, where you can socialize and enjoy your meals. All meals are catered for. The menu comprises of freshly prepared African bush cuisine, tea, coffee and cold drinks.
Aside from your 2-day Breede River Kayaking Adventure, there are other activities available in the area. The area being the largest wine producing area in the country, it is also home to some of the country�s best wine cellars and as such wine tasting is high on the list. There are a good many local wines to taste, savor and purchase to take home and add to your wine collection. For the corporate and teambuilding side of things, there is an in-house conference centre and low and high ropes course that will be of interest. Please Note
Kayaking, even with our expert guides does carry an inherent risk, but should not be considered dangerous. You will be equipped with a PFD (lifejacket) and our expert guides are all trained in First Aide and carry First Aid Kits. It is your responsibility to make sure that you carry your required personal medications with you (allergy medication, asthma medication, etc). Please inform us and your guides if you are on medication or suffer from an injury, illness or if you have difficulty in the water (swimming).
We are members of APA and our guides are trained, qualified and registered with the Department of Tourism.
For safety reasons any persons having taken drugs or alcohol within 8 hours prior to the adventure will be restricted from participation.
