Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Kick off the first day of your Rwanda gorilla trekking adventre holiday by flying to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city. Meet with our English-speaking agents at the airport, they will assist you with all formalities. Transfer to on of these hotels of your choice (B&B).

Day 2: Nyamirambo and Kinigi
Depart for Nyamirambo in Kigali. Take a visit to the Nyamirambo Women's Centre (NWC). The ladies will invite you to one of their homes, there you will learn how to prepare a Rwandan meal and share lunch with your hosts.
Enjoy a guided vehicular tour of Kigali, introducing you to the history of the city and it’s landmarks. Scheduled stops include:
- The first Rwandan colonial building: The Kandt Museum
- The Hôtel des Mille Collines, made famous by the Hotel Rwanda film
- Camp Kigali
- Lastly you will experience the primary genocide memorial, in Kigali’s Gisozi neighbourhood.
Transfer 2½ hours away to Kinigi. There you will receive a presentation on gorilla trekking and Volcanoes National Park nature conservation.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park and Gisenyi
Enjoy a trek into the heart of the Volcanoes National Park as you track one of the several family groups of gorillas. Each gorilla family group may be seen by only 1 group of up to 8 tourists each day. This is a once in a lifetime and a truly unforgettable experience.
Enjoy lunch at the lodge and then transfer to Gisenyi and check in. Enjoy some leisure time.

Day 4: Gisenyi and Nyungwe
The Kivu Coffee Tour offers an educational experience, you have the chance to learn about the coffee-growing process surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Lake Kivu.
On Nyamirundi Island, visit the plantation of one of Ingoboka’s families. From the island, continue to the nearby Gashishi Washing Station. Here coffee is processed. After a chance to sample the co-operative’s coffee, we return to Gisenyi.
Enjoy a boat transfer Kibuye and have lunch at Moriah Hill. After lunch, take a car transfer to Nyungwe National Park.
Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Full board)
Day 5: Nyungwe National Park
Enjoy the Chimpanzee trek, and then lunch at the lodge.

Day 6: Nyungwe National Park, Butare and Kigali
Enjoy a guided nature discovery walk, learning more about the flora and fauna of the park (including various other primate species), followed by lunch at the lodge.
Take a car transfer to Butare, here you can take a visit the National Museum of Butare. Most visitors only drive through this quiet university town to get to the Nyungwe National Park, missing out on the museum, an important Rwandan historical site.
Transfer to Kigali and enjoy dinner at the Khana Khazana. Overnight at one of these hotels of your choice (Full board)

Day 7: Millennium Village
Rwanda’s Millennium Village is situated in Mayange, in the Bugesera district approximately 40km south of Kigali. It is part of an innovative project aimed at achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals by the year 2015.
The Millennium Village Tour teaches visitors about the challenges that many African communities face, as well as a variety of interventions that have proven successful in the fight against poverty.
The tour addresses topics such as education, sustainable agriculture, health care, micro-enterprise development, infrastructure and building peace and reconciliation. You are afforded the opportunity to experience various aspects of the local culture, such as language, food and traditions.
Partly guided by locals, the tour offers visitors personal insights into the lives of the villagers.

Day 8: Fly out
Optional excursions are available in the Kigali area.
Transfer to the airport for your flight out.
