So What's Extreme? A Golf Course with a 19th Hole?
The 19th hole is the longest and the most dramatic Par 3 on earth. You can only access this par 3 hole by helicopter as it is set high above the ground on the Hanglip Mountain.
You can only play this hole from a vertical height of 430 metres. This unique high-tech hole has been created using four separate cameras as well as state of the art tracking equipment.
The golfer gets into the helicopter for a short ride straight up to one
of the three tee boxes set high up on the escarpment. With the
technology installed, the golfer can follow the progress of the ball
from the second of teeing off.

The course has been designed to be a championship 18-hole course, but it is also the longest golf course within South Africa. For daily play the course is 6,534 metres, but can be extended to 7,748 metres for tournaments, thus not only making it the longest course in Africa, but also one of the longest in the world.
