South Africa has huge variety to offer for all visitors, no matter what your tastes, you will find so much that appeals to you that you will want to come back again and again.
This overland adventure tour has been designed to give you 7 days of travelling by adventure truck along some of the best scenic routes available and to give you great wild life experiences along the way. We will camp out at a different location each night and each day will bring new activities and adventures.

The end point for this overland adventure tour is at Ethan Lodge, Chalmers Road, Humewood, Port Elizabeth.

Climate
The African sun is harsh, especially to people very fair skin so it is important that you should bring a hat and make sure you have a supply of sunscreen with Factor 30 or above.
Currency and Banking
The only currency used on this route is the South African Rand. Credit Cards can also be used.

Pre and Post Tour Accommodation
If you require accommodation before or after your tour we can arrange this for you. We can also arrange airport transfers, so please request these services ahead of time.
Arrival
Please arrange your arrival in South Africa for the day before the overland adventure tour departs. This will allow enough time for any unforeseen problems that might crop up and cause delays.
Departure
Please book your departure flight for the day after your overland tour has officially ended. This will allow you enough time to avoid missing flights should any unforeseen situation arise. If it is not possible to depart a day after the tour ends, please book your flight for after 1pm on the day the tour ends.

The activities listed above are the most popular, there is many other activities on offer so please enquire from your guide what else is on offer and he will assist you wherever possible.
Day 1 Stellenbosch Wine Route/Swellendam
Once we have passed beyond the outskirts of Cape Town and we will travel approximately 300 km today. We turn towards the world-famous Stellenbosch Wine lands and we stop off at Spier Wine Estate for a sampling of the best regional wines. From there we will visit the Cheetah Rehabilitation Project, which is an included activity.� Afterwards your guide will give you an in-depth briefing about your overland adventure tour and will gladly answer any questions you might have.
Our overnight accommodation near the town of Swellendam is at the Kambati Camp with lunch and dinner included. The facilities at the camp include a bar and shared ablutions with hot showers. The water is drinkable.
Day 2 Oudtshoorn
Our journey today is about 270 km. We go on a guided tour of the world-famous limestone Cango Caves, which is an included activity. In the afternoon there is the opportunity for the optional activity of visiting an ostrich farm.
Our overnight accommodation is at the Kleinplaas Holiday Resort campsite and all meals are included. Facilities at the camp include shared ablutions with hot showers. The water is drinkable.
Day 3 Knysna
Today our journey of 150 km takes us along the Garden Route and it is one of the most scenic routes in South Africa. You will have great photo opportunities along the way. We pass through Mossel Bay and our destination is Monks Caravan Park near Knysna.
Optional activities for the day include hiking, a lagoon cruise, canoeing and visiting the Knysna Elephant Park.
Our accommodation is Monks Caravan Park where we will camp with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The campsite has shared ablutions with hot showers.
Day 4/5 Bloukrans and Tsitsikamma National Park
We have a short journey of 90 km today to reach the Tsitsikamma National Park that is known all round for having exceptional hiking trails and great coastal scenery. The entrance fee to the Tsitsikamma National Park is included.
There are optional activities such as treetop canopy tours, the world�s highest bungee jumping and hiking.
Our overnight camping accommodation is at the Tube 'n Axe Campsite with all meals included. The camp has drinkable water, a bar and shared ablutions with hot showers.
Day 6 Addo Elephant National Park
Today we drive into the Eastern Cape for about 330 km to reach the Addo Elephant National Park and our hope is to see as many of the African Big 5 as possible. The higher elevation that our adventure truck gives us is a bonus on game drives. There will be many great photographic opportunities today.
Continuing into the Eastern Cape, we enter Addo Elephant National Park, which is home to many of Africa�s big game. Our truck gives us an elevated view on our game drive, particularly for those photographic enthusiasts amongst us. As an included activity we will have a game drive in our adventure truck in the afternoon.
We overnight at the Addo Elephant Park campsite with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The facilities at the camp include a restaurant, a shop, and drinkable water and shared ablutions with hot showers.
Day 7 Port Elizabeth
This is officially the last day of your overland adventure tour of the Garden Route. We have a final morning game drive and after breakfast we travel south along the sunshine coast until we reach our final destination; Port Elizabeth. The drop off is at Ethan Lodge, Port Elizabeth where we all say goodbye.
