The resort is situated on the shores of Lake Kariba, Zambia, near the sleepy little town of Siavonga, only two and a half hours drive from Lusaka and only 8km from the spectacular Kariba Dam Wall. Set in 4 hectares of some of Africa's most beautiful countryside, the resort is nestled in a secluded wooded area on the shores of the Lake with beach frontage and magnificent views across the Lake to the Matusodona Mountains.

Our Chalets are comfortable, fully mosquito proofed and air-conditioned.
We boast a Restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a swimming pool with shady patio to relax and enjoy a cool drink by the pool. We also have a thatched bar on the beach where you can relax with a beer or two, supervise the kids and enjoy spectacular views across the Lake. We also have a camp site situated amongst the trees complete with hot and cold showers and toilets.
For activities we offer sunset cruises and day cruises on the Lake, fishing, boating, and one day canoe safaris from the Dam Wall through magnificent Kariba gorge to Tamarind Camp, visits to the Dam Wall and the Power Station, Croc Farm visits, and much more.
Activities:
Take a one day canoe safari through the magnificent Kariba Gorge on the mighty Zambezi River.
Launch from beneath the Kariba Dam Wall and canoe 22km through the gorge to Tamarind Camp.
Paddle at a steady pace, stop for lunch on the river and enjoy the birdlife, hippo and crocs.
Take time out for fishing on the Lake or the mighty Zambezi river or go on a Lake sunset cruise or take a canoe and enjoy the scenery.
We can also organise visits to the Kariba Dam Wall, deep inside the workings of the Kariba Power Station, a working commercial crocodile farm, Kapenta fishing rigs, cultural village tours and much more.

- All our Chalets are situated on the Lake front with veranda and magnificent views across the Lake.
- Chalets are configured as either Double or Twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms
- All rooms have a bar fridge (drinks not included)
- All rooms have wall fans and split air-conditioning units
- All beds are covered with walk-in type mosquito nets covering the whole bed
- Square pin UK style electric power points are standard in Zambia – if you have appliances with other plugs types it is advisable to carry the appropriate adapter
Restaurant & Pool:
- Our Restaurant is airy and well appointed
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served - expertly prepared by our father & son
- Chefs (Albert and Al) under the watchful eye of Lorraine
Beach & Beach Bar:
A special feature of Eagles is the beach bar situated on the beach with magnificent views across the Lake the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. At full moon, views from the beach bar are incredible.
Watch the sun set to the west and moments later watch the huge red moon rise over Kariba and during the next one hour spectacle, see the surface of the Lake turn from dark red to a shimmering silver glow.
In addition to serving meals in our restaurant, meals served on the beach are a popular alternative. We can cater for special occasions and parties, large or small groups, serving braai, buffet meals and private dinner parties.

Additional Rates
The resort reserves the right to amend or change the rates and payment policy at any time without notice. All rates should be confirmed at the time of enquiry or booking.
Payment may be made in any of the following foreign currencies in cash: United States Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros, and South African Rand. However, all invoices will be expressed in Zambian Kwacha and converted to such foreign currency at the Eagles Rest hotel rate on the date of payment.
Payments may be made by any of the following credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD. However, all credit card payments will be transacted in Zambian Kwacha and conversion to the clients "home currency" will be done by the credit card service provider. Please note: a 3.5% bank commission will be added to all credit card payments.
Payment by cheque will not be accepted.

Accommodation
Chalet Accommodation Bed and Breakfast:
- Adults: US$65 or ZAR500 per person per night
- Children 8 to 12 yrs: US$33 or ZAR250 per person per night
- Children 3 to 7 yrs: US$17 or ZAR130 per person per night
Chalet Accommodation Self Catering:
- Adults: US$55 or ZAR400 per person per night
- Children 8 to 12 yrs: US$25 or ZAR200 per person per night
- Children 3 to 7 yrs: US$13 or ZAR100 per person per night
Please note: The resort does not supply food stuff for self catering nor does it provide any crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils. Each chalet is equipped with a small bar fridge, an outdoor washing up facility and electric power points, and a braai (barbeque) stand. Charcoal can be provided at ZMK5,000 per box.
Restaurant (Chit Chat Siavonga)
