At Teniqua Treetops we focus on the environment, so each tree house is constructed at canopy height, incorporating the trees into the design without damaging any trees. The walks through the indigenous forest tread lightly, paths based on existing small animal trails allow guests to meander through the forest. There are ancient milkwoods (1000 years +) huge yellowwoods, saffrons, ironwoods the list is endless. Its the Garden Route so whenever you come something will be flowering. The tree houses are built on the edge of the cola coloured Karatara River Gorge with views to the majestic Outeniqua Mountains.

 We have 8 hand-crafted tree-houses spread over 35 hectares ensuring privacy and sustainability. Our 4 honeymoon tree-houses are very popular offering a wonderful romantic getaway, they each include a large 2 person bath on the front deck for wonderful star-gazing evenings. We have 4 larger tree-houses catering for a maximum of 4 people each in one or 2 bedroom tree houses that attract families with young kids or those young at heart reliving a childhood fantasy.

 The tree houses are self-catering and fully equipped, there is a gas cooker, microwave and Weber Braai on the deck. The bedrooms are all tented with carpets. The wooden beds have hand created headboards, electric blankets and heaters for winter and antique cupboards. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas.

We are between Knysna and Sedgefield on the Garden Route

 5km after Sedgefield towards Knysna turn left up the Karatara Road, there is a large brown tourism board with our name Teniqua Treetops. (or 10km from Knsyna towards Sedgefield turn right)

 Continue for 16km following the Teniqua Treetops signboard, there is one turnoff of this road to Karatara left Barrington straight, go towards Barrington.

 The road is tarred the entire way, the last one kilometer is our own farm road and its gravel and in good condition.
