ABOUT BLACK RHINO GAME RESERVE
The Greater Pilanesberg National Park spans 57,000 hectares, of which the new Private game reserve, the Black Rhino Reserve, forms part in the North Western boundary.
The exclusive Black Rhino Reserve is the first extension to be incorporated into the Pilanesberg National Parks (PNP) and spans just less than 2000 hectares. The overall aim is to form the “Heritage Park” by incorporating farms that lie between the Madikwe Game Reserve and the PNP. The “Heritage Park” is to eventually span a whopping 300,000 hectares of South African soil.
While on safari, you can enjoy game viewing of species such as the cheetah, Tsessebe, Sable Antelope and African Wild Dog; not forgetting Africa’s famous Big Five. You can enjoy close –up viewing of rhino, lion, elephant, leopard and buffalo as we traverse the park’s 57,000 hectares in open safari vehicles.
The vegetation in the Black Rhino Private Game Reserve is comprised mainly of sweetveld, complimenting the PNP mixed and sour veld vegetation. There is an abundance of Tambotie trees on the private game reserve, providing regular sightings of mean tempered Black Rhino.
