Cape Town is well known for many things, one of them being the seal island boat trips from Simon's Town.

There's many islands where Cape Fur Seals make their home, but there is only one true Seal Island and that lies only 16km from Simons Town. Roughly 75,000 Cape Fur Seals call this island home along with 24 different species of bird. But what makes the true Seal Island so interesting is that it is the hunting ground of the "flying" Great White Shark.

This island is where Massive Great White Sharks leap clear out of the ocean and into the air when attacking their prey; the Cape Fur Seal. You can feast your eyes on these awesome displays of predation when you take Seal Island boat trips from Simons Town with us.

For those less adventurous at heart, the scenery is sublime. En route to Seal Island Cape Point is laid out in all its splendor while Table Mountain stands tall and the Hottentots Mountain range welcomes us in the distance. Aside from the Cape Fur Seal and the great White, there is a wealth of other marine life to keep an eye out for. Throughout the year you may spot Hump Back Whales, Brydes Whales and dolphins. From June to December Southern Right Whale Sightings are 99% guaranteed on tour Somin's Town boat trips to Seal ISland, Cape Town.
