You will arrive just before sunrise to a remote location surrounded by farmlands in the heart of the Magaliesburg,  approx  one hour from Johannesburg.  Enjoy a cup of coffee while you watch the Balloons being prepared.

As the sun rises, burning off the cloud cover, you will make your way to the basket and climb aboard for a ride that will change your life forever.  Your Pilot lights the burners after an entertaining briefing, and you rise majestically into the air and float silently wherever the wind blows you.

Once back in the comfort of Harrop’s Clubhouse a really top class fully cooked breakfast is served in the comfort of their fully licensed restaurant on the patios overlooking the launch field and the Magaliesberg mountains.

What is on offer?

• Hot air ballooning daily, available 365 days per year.

What to bring with:

• Comfortable outdoor clothing and a windbreaker [denims and trainers]
• Advisable to dress warmly in several layers of clothes that you can remove as temperatures rises.
• A hat to wear so that you are protected form the heat coming from the burner.
• Binoculars and camera.

Take Note:

• All pilots and every member of the ground grew is experienced and highly qualified for their tasks.
• All equipment is maintained and checked to ensure that everything is in first class condition to ensure the safety of passengers and that all standards are adhered to.
• Although passengers do not have to be extremely fit, they must be able to jump 60 cm unassisted and be able to stand for approximately one hour during the flight.
• Hot air balloons launch every day, including weekends, as long as the weather permits safe launching.
• The duration of the hot air balloon trip is about an hour, but passengers should allow roughly 4 to 5 hours for the complete ballooning adventure to budget in time for travelling.
