Location

Our launch site is just outside the small town of Hazyview, north of Pretoria and Johannesburg in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa.

The best time

We launch hot air balloon adventure flights on a daily basis all year round as long as the weather is good.

What you should bring

• Sturdy, flat soled shoes and long pants as well as a cap or hat. Wear clothes that can be easily removed when the temperature starts to rise.
• Sunscreen, binoculars and camera.

On he day

• Passengers have coffee, tea and biscuits while the crew readies the hot air balloon for launch and passengers have good photo opportunities.
• Once we are all aboard, but before the launch, the pilot will give s safety briefing and also about what to expect during the flight and upon landing.
• The actual hot air balloon flight lasts for an hour, but you should give yourself about 4 hours for this adventure flight to have enough time to travel to and from the launch site.
• We have a traditional celebration with champagne once we have landed.
• We round off this hot air balloon adventure with a great breakfast where everyone will receive flight certificates.

The combined weight of the passengers will determine how many can go on a hot air balloon flight at a time, but as a rule we take a maximum of 8 passengers. We only launch when we have 4 passengers, so if your group is too small, we will make up a mixed batch.
