Amakaya Backpackers hostel & self-catering is 300 metres away from the shops, restaurants and pubs of Main Street, Plettenberg Bay and 800m from the popular Central Beach.

Our upstairs bar and open air verandah offers magnificent views of the Tsitsikamma mountain range, the lagoon and the bay. This is a great place to relax after a busy day’s activities or for the early risers to watch the sunrise.

Spend the evenings around the bonfire chatting about your experiences or just laze in the hammocks.
