More about the boat
We use the vessel, Ivanhoe, which is a catamaran, for our marine safari trips. She has been designed to be a dry boat and this means that people do not get wet, doing away with the need for foul weather gear or rain suits.
We can accommodate 40 passengers, but we limit passengers to 30 for each trip to enable everyone to be seated. There is a high-up whale watching deck as well as a lower deck that has all-round viewing. There are large cabins and private toilet facilities on board as well.
Additional Information:
We also offer eco-marine safari trips to Dyer Island with a duration of 1 hours. The trip takes us to the world-renowned Shark Alley between Geyser Rock and Dyer Islands to visit the Cape Fur Seal colony.
On this trip you can expect to see thousands of Cape Fur Seals and their pups. This colony is the most southern breeding habit of the Fur Seals. African penguins also frequent these waters and there are a huge variety of pelagic birds that are always to be seen. It is also not uncommon on these trips to spot dolphin and even a Great White Shark or an Orca.
