More about the trip:
- The trip is conducted on the Advantage, skippered by Dannie Bennet.
- Bennet is a specialized Marine Mammal Guide and the only holder of a legal permit to take guests on boat-based whale watching adventures around St. Lucia.
- The whale watching adventures are most popular during June to December when whale populations are at their most abundant
- The boat trip lasts 2 hours with a half hour on either side for briefing and getting to and from the launch site
- You will be transferred to the launch site in a 4X4 truck onto the beach
- On occasion a hydrophone will allow you to listen to the whales singing to each other below the waves
- Your guides will fill you in on all the interesting whale knowledge that they have gained over the years
Media Offer:
Advantage has obtained a legal filming permit MCM, granting them permission to photograph and film whales. From the time the guests meet till the adventure ends three hours later, a cameraman will be video tracking your every experience. You can purchase a personalized DVD from the Whale Shop roughly an hour after your adventure.
Please Note:
South Africa only has 9 legal boat-based whale watching permit holders of which Advantage Charter is one. Don�t have the wool pulled over your eyes for a lower price offered by a dodgy operator without a legal permit. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are taking a trip with a legal permit holder.
